A bespoke book that records the sacrifices made by one family during the Great War
This A4, 48-page landscape book records the impact that the Great War had on my family. Taking historical records, and information collected from genealogy sites, the National Archives, Regiments and Public Records Offices, this book highlights the personal and sociological impact of the First World War on an ordinary British family.
The book records family members who were killed in action, awarded gallantry medals, enlisted underage or went absent without leave (only to re-enlist under an alias). All fascinating stuff!
